School Description

Alternate Certification for Teachers in the Rio Grande Valley (ACT RGV) offers programs for Texas Teacher Certification.

The organization's goals are to initiate the preparation of individuals who have received their baccalaureate degrees for a career in teaching.

ACT RGV's programs provide the beginning teacher with the essential knowledge and skills in instructional strategies, curriculum planning, and reading instruction vital for a successful first year.

ACT RGV also offers a two-semester teaching internship to fully acquaint new teachers to the school environment in a supervised and supportive setting.
